FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Group Art Exhibition at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Manhattan
May 21st, 2008 – June 30th, 2008

A group art exhibition exploring the concept, Sacred Surveillance, will be on display at the historic St. Paul the Apostle Church from May 21- June 30th, 2008. In Sacred Surveillance, each artist questions existence under the auspices of something greater: a quiet, conscious, presence in one's daily movements or the artist in the role of flaneur, watching the world solemnly from a distance. The selected works discuss how this presence of the transcendent is disclosed through both the hidden and discursive elements of human experience. The exhibit responds to a variety of mediums including sculpture, painting, poetry and mixed-media.

Participating artists: Katie Abplanalp, Robert Aitchison, James Berroya, Araceli Cruz, Lauren Gohara, Imo Nse Imeh, Iliyan Ivanov, Joey Kilrain, Susu Pianchupattana, Susan Quilligan, John-Patrick Regalado, Laura Resheske, Frank Sabatte, Anthony Santella, Mareshah Yisrael
